Overview

NBA In the Zone is Konami’s basketball series, known in Japan through the NBA Power Dunkers name. It brings NBA teams onto the court for passing, shooting and defensive contests, with later entries expanding the ways to manage a team and follow a season. Representative games: NBA In the Zone (1995): Emphasizes a range of scoring moves, including alley-oops, hook shots and fadeaways. NBA In the Zone 2 (1996): Adds full-season play and substitutions to give matches a broader team-management context. NBA In the Zone ’98 (1998): Uses motion-captured moves to give its passing, shooting and dunks a more varied presentation. Suitable for: A good fit for an interest in 1990s NBA basketball and early 3D sports games. Expect the pleasure of working the ball into a scoring chance, with season play providing a reason to keep returning to the same team.
