Overview

FlatOut is an arcade racing series where battered cars, flying debris and rough overtakes are part of the race. You fight for position through breakable scenery, while stunt events turn drivers launched through windscreens into unlikely sporting equipment. Representative games: FlatOut (2004): Combines scrappy racing with demolition derbies and spectacular driver-launching stunts. FlatOut 2 (2006): Expands the formula with faster track layouts, more race environments and additional stunt minigames. FlatOut 4: Total Insanity (2017): Adds Assault mode, where weapons let you disrupt or destroy rival cars. Suitable for: For players who enjoy chaotic competition and recovering from a disastrous corner. Expect contact, sudden obstacles and plenty of races that refuse to go according to plan.
