Overview

Cooking Mama turns preparing food into short activities guided by Mama. You chop, mix, grill and arrange dishes through touch or motion controls, depending on the game; related gardening adventures take the same hands-on approach to growing plants and decorating a garden. Representative games: Cooking Mama (2006): Uses the DS stylus as a kitchen tool for small tasks such as chopping ingredients and preparing dishes. Cooking Mama: Cook Off (2007): Turns Wii Remote movements into cooking actions and lets two players compare their kitchen skills. Gardening Mama (2009): Moves outdoors to planting and tending flowers, fruit and vegetables, with decorations for your garden. Suitable for: Players who enjoy food, crafts and the satisfaction of finishing small tasks, with room to repeat a step and improve the result.
