Overview

Amped is a freestyle snowboarding series about finding a good line and making each trick count. You carve across mountain slopes, launch off jumps and slide along rails, building a career through trick challenges; Amped 3 adds an eccentric story and more ways to play around on the snow. Representative games: Amped: Freestyle Snowboarding (2001): Builds a snowboarding career around high scores, camera spots and impressing sponsors. Amped 2 (2003): Adds butters to link tricks together and rewards controlled spins with style points. Amped 3 (2005): Mixes resort challenges with an offbeat story and a Park Builder for placing jumps and rails. Suitable for: For players who enjoy practicing a favorite run until it feels right, or watching a rough attempt become a stylish performance. An interest in snowboarding culture helps, especially if you prefer personal expression to racing for the finish.
