About this game
In the lawless Outer Rim, Shade joins the Galactic League’s underground racing circuit. Different classes of repulsorcraft handle corners, speed and contact in different ways. Choosing a machine is the beginning of a racing approach that can be changed further with parts and upgrades. Campaign runs connect events across planets with distinct hazards. A build that protects a racer may sacrifice speed, while another may depend on keeping its engine cool. Results feed the next preparation, making a race part of a continuing attempt rather than an isolated finish line. Other modes offer focused scenarios, arcade challenges and online competition.

STAR WARS: Galactic Racer
A strong racer whose vehicle building gives repeated attempts a purpose.
The racing is convincing because the machine being built changes how a course is read. A defensive setup can make a hazardous shortcut useful, while another configuration rewards cleaner lines and better cooling. That connection makes preparation feel like part of driving rather than a separate menu exercise. Repeated attempts then offer two kinds of improvement: learning the route and learning what the current vehicle can do. The campaign is less effective at moving swiftly between those moments. Inter-race conversations and repeated scenes can dilute the urgency, especially for players who want consecutive races without interruption. Still, the range of approaches gives its speed a strategic foundation. This is particularly appealing to someone who likes adapting a build to a challenge and then proving that decision on the track.
Strengths
- Distinct vehicle approaches and purposeful repeated runs.
Weaknesses
- Inter-race flow can become repetitive and slow.
Who it is for: Racing fans who enjoy experimenting with vehicle setups.
Play notes: BasePS5 performance uses an October2 nearly30hour test; patch unspecified. PS5Pro observations are separate, and review-period online sessions do not establish today’s player population.
