About this game
Naraka: Bladepoint is a PlayStation 5 fighting game centered on combat encounters, offense-defense reads, and character matchups. Short bouts use character differences and rising difficulty for variety, with progress divided into stages, tasks, matches, or growth milestones that make immediate goals understandable. Its value depends on whether these rules continue to create judgment and room for mastery rather than on length, sales, or series recognition. Short campaigns are judged by repeat-challenge value, while longer ones are judged by variety, pacing, and recovery after failure. Animation, hit feedback, and readable arenas create match tension, while SSD streaming, 4K and HDR output, 3D audio, performance or quality modes, and high-density interfaces need to preserve feedback and information clarity together. The genre-specific limitation is that button mapping, move recognition, multiplayer accessories, and cpu behavior can affect balance. Platform conditions also include install size, SSD space, patch version, DualSense battery life, visual mode and frame rate, online dependencies, PS VR2 requirements, and cross-generation version differences affect the current release. This description covers only this platform release and does not import features or conveniences from remasters, emulators, or other console editions.

PlayStation 5AI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
Distinct melee mind games and vertical movement with a demanding learning transition.
Naraka: Bladepoint makes close-range decisions central to battle royale survival. Normal attacks, charged attacks and counters constrain one another, while the grappling hook connects pursuit, retreat and repositioning. Reading an opponent matters as much as locating them first. Its architecture supports vertical movement and its martial-arts identity gives encounters a distinctive character. PS5 targeting assistance and automatic turning help translate the system to a controller, but they do not remove the need to practise combinations. Easy early victories can also misrepresent the difficulty of experienced human opposition. The strongest audience is willing to learn through repeated encounters and defeats. Current balance and network conditions remain variable, so this assessment does not promise a particular latency or dominant character build.
Strengths
- Melee counters reward reading opponents
- Grappling connects movement and attack
Weaknesses
- Early play understates human competition
Who it is for: Online players willing to practise melee competition.
Play notes: Requires online access; PC performance evidence is not treated as PS5 testing.
