About this game
Juiced - Eliminator is a PSP racing game centered on driving and route control, vehicle control, and route judgment. Tracks raise pressure through corners, rivals, and time targets, with progress divided into stages, tasks, matches, or growth milestones that make immediate goals understandable. Its value depends on whether these rules continue to create judgment and room for mastery rather than on length, sales, or series recognition. Short campaigns are judged by repeat-challenge value, while longer ones are judged by variety, pacing, and recovery after failure. Speed, track boundaries, and vehicle feedback determine driving readability, while the portable widescreen, UMD streaming, compressed audio, and handheld-scale interface need to preserve targets, text, and action readability. The genre-specific limitation is that visibility, collisions, steering precision, wheel support, or loading can limit consistency. Platform conditions also include single-nub camera control, UMD loading and noise, Memory Stick saves, battery life, regional language, ad hoc requirements, and retired online services affect present-day use. This description covers only this platform release and does not import features or conveniences from remasters, emulators, or other console editions.
Collected in series
Juiced puts modified cars at the center of its racing, making the garage as important to its identity as the track. Customization, rival crews and high-stakes competition capture the appeal of tuner culture, with the sequel adding the atmosphere of Hot Import Nights.

Career management has substance, but PSP steering undermines the racing.
Juiced: Eliminator brings tuning, team building and the pressure of risking a car to PSP. Removing race entry fees makes career finances less obstructive, while elimination challenges give progression additional goals. Driving is the weaker foundation. Analog steering struggles between understeer and overcorrection, directional controls respond slowly, and faster cars magnify the problem. Limited track variety and team races that cannot be fast-forwarded add more repetition. Pink-slip commitments also expose you to an opponent whose car is not fully known beforehand, making the risk feel less informed than it should. Cars receive more attention than their surroundings, and engine or character sounds lack distinction. Historical PSP performance was not the principal complaint: handling was. Local wireless play is included, but there is no internet matchmaking.
Strengths
- Tuning and meaningful car stakes
- No career race entry fees
- Elimination and team goals
Weaknesses
- Imprecise steering
- Repeated tracks and team-race waiting
- Poorly informed pink-slip commitments
Who it is for: Players more interested in car management than precise racing feel.
Play notes: Multiplayer is local wireless only; running-performance observations are from the original PSP review, not a current test.
