About this game
Humanity is a PlayStation 5 adventure game centered on puzzle, maze, or device solving, story, case, or mission progress, and objective or clue progression. Locations, objectives, and clues gradually open the main chapters, with progress divided into stages, tasks, matches, or growth milestones that make immediate goals understandable. Its value depends on whether these rules continue to create judgment and room for mastery rather than on length, sales, or series recognition. Short campaigns are judged by repeat-challenge value, while longer ones are judged by variety, pacing, and recovery after failure. Theme, character expression, and environmental clues need to support exploration together, while SSD streaming, 4K and HDR output, 3D audio, performance or quality modes, and high-density interfaces need to preserve feedback and information clarity together. The genre-specific limitation is that guidance, objective triggers, camera behavior, or dense text can create search and comprehension costs. Platform conditions also include install size, SSD space, patch version, DualSense battery life, visual mode and frame rate, online dependencies, PS VR2 requirements, and cross-generation version differences affect the current release. This description covers only this platform release and does not import features or conveniences from remasters, emulators, or other console editions.

PlayStation 5AI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
Simple commands create rich spatial puzzles and memorable crowd spectacle.
Humanity: As a dog, the player places turns, jumps and other commands to guide crowds across three-dimensional obstacles. Each rule is simple, but combinations demand attention to flow, timing and destinations. The campaign introduces commands and obstacles in stages, and user-made levels extend the set of situations. Later puzzles can demand patience, but their difficulty grows from rules the player has already learned. Dense anonymous processions crossing abstract architecture create images that feel both ordered and unsettling. Solving a route has unusual emotional weight because the movement of the crowd is itself the spectacle. On the reviewed PS5 stages, command placement and the resulting crowd flow remain readable enough to support iteration. This judgment concerns standard-screen play and does not treat optional VR as required equipment.
Strengths
- Commands combine into varied solutions.
- Crowd imagery has a distinctive presence.
Weaknesses
- Later stages require patient iteration.
Who it is for: Puzzle players who enjoy spatial planning and abstract spectacle.
Play notes: Based on the 2023 PS5 test; PS VR2 is optional.
