About this game
Chou Snobo Kids is a Nintendo 64 racing game centered on vehicle control, route judgment, and speed and overtaking management. Tracks raise pressure through corners, rivals, and time targets, with progress divided into stages, tasks, matches, or growth milestones that make its immediate goals understandable. Its value depends on whether these rules continue to create judgment and room for mastery rather than on length, sales, or series recognition. Short campaigns are judged by repeat-challenge value, while longer ones are judged by variety, pacing, and recovery after failure. Speed, track boundaries, and vehicle feedback determine driving readability, while 3D scenes, fog, textures, and cartridge audio need to preserve target readability within limited memory and television output. The genre-specific limitation is that visibility, collisions, steering precision, motion calibration, or network conditions can limit consistency. Platform conditions also include camera control, stick precision, Controller Pak saves, Rumble Pak support, Expansion Pak requirements, and four-player setup can affect original-hardware use. This description covers only this platform release and does not import features from other editions.
Collected in series
Snowboard Kids is Atlus’s playful snowboarding race series, mixing downhill steering and aerial tricks with items that disrupt rival riders. Holding a good line matters, but a well-timed attack can turn the race around.

Lively weapon-based boarding with plentiful goals and slower four-player play.
This is comic racing with frying pans and parachutes, not a serious snowboarding simulation. Characters and boards favor different attributes, and midair tricks earn money for weapons, connecting movement choices with mischief. That mixture generates lively reversals, although one mistake or attack can send a leader straight to last. Three-lap races, varied boss stages, town challenges and character or board unlocks give solo play more to pursue than repeated victories. Familiar courses eventually lose freshness despite those rewards. Bright scenery, upbeat music and cute interludes support the playful atmosphere, and C-button grabs make tricks approachable. Movement is slightly stiff, however, and four-player racing runs noticeably more slowly. It best suits players who enjoy unpredictable attacks and unlock hunting rather than realistic speed or exact handling.
Strengths
- Fun combinations of tricks, weapons and boards
- Bosses, town challenges and plentiful unlocks
- Bright cartoon presentation and music
Weaknesses
- Attacks can abruptly reverse a lead
- Courses lose freshness
- Stiff movement and slower four-player racing
Who it is for: Players who enjoy cartoon weapon races, local competition and unlock hunting.
Play notes: Four-player play runs more slowly than solo races; weapons and mistakes can swing positions sharply.
