About this game
Chase - Hollywood Stunt Driver is a Xbox racing game centered on driving and route control, route judgment, and speed and overtaking management. Tracks raise pressure through corners, rivals, and time targets, with progress divided into stages, tasks, matches, or growth milestones that make immediate goals understandable. Its value depends on whether these rules continue to create judgment and room for mastery rather than on length, sales, or series recognition. Short campaigns are judged by repeat-challenge value, while longer ones are judged by variety, pacing, and recovery after failure. Speed, track boundaries, and vehicle feedback determine driving readability, while standard or progressive-scan video, widescreen support, HDD caching, and Dolby Digital audio need to preserve action, state, and text readability together. The genre-specific limitation is that visibility, collisions, steering precision, wheel support, or loading can limit consistency. Platform conditions also include disc loading, the internal HDD and cache, memory units, regional language, display modes, legacy controller ports, and retired Xbox Live services affect present-day use. This description covers only this platform release and does not import features or conveniences from remasters, emulators, or other console editions.

A lively, short stunt-driving game with approachable Xbox controls.
Chase turns movie stunt work into a race against the clock. Reaching the finish while fitting in rolls, powerslides and destruction creates enjoyable route choices, especially when objectives compete with one another. Nitro, different vehicles and changing terrain keep handling from feeling completely uniform. The four movie themes provide variety, and convincing suspension movement sells the jumps. However, sixteen stages make for a brief campaign, while multiplayer requires hidden trophies rather than being immediately accessible. Xbox steering and trigger controls suit the quick action, but getting trapped between scenery objects can force a restart. Crude glass fragments, generic background music and weak voice acting also leave the cinematic presentation behind the actual driving. It works best as a compact arcade diversion.
Strengths
- Varied stunts and vehicle handling reward route experimentation
- Responsive Xbox controls and convincing vehicle animation
Weaknesses
- Short campaign and initially locked multiplayer
- Occasional scenery traps and weak voice acting
Who it is for: Players wanting exaggerated crashes and approachable, short-form stunt driving.
Play notes: Unlock multiplayer through hidden single-player trophies; scenery traps can require restarting a stage.
