About this game
Biohazard - The Umbrella Chronicles is a Wii shooter game centered on aiming and shooting, positioning and evasion, and weapon and firepower management. Missions pace progress through enemy waves, routes, objectives, and weapon opportunities, with progress divided into stages, tasks, matches, or growth milestones that make its immediate goals understandable. Its value depends on whether these rules continue to create judgment and room for mastery rather than on length, sales, or series recognition. Short campaigns are judged by repeat-challenge value, while longer ones are judged by variety, pacing, and recovery after failure. Aiming feedback, projectiles, hits, and danger zones need to remain readable, while standard-definition output, motion feedback, and interface scale at television distance need to preserve control readability. The genre-specific limitation is that camera turning, aiming methods, dense encounters, and multiplayer service conditions can increase control pressure. Platform conditions also include the Sensor Bar, remote batteries, motion calibration, peripheral requirements, storage limits, and retired online services affect present-day use. This description covers only this platform release and does not import features from other editions.
Collected in series
Resident Evil follows people trying to survive biological disasters, combining dangerous exploration, puzzles and encounters with hostile creatures. Each game finds a different balance between fear and action, with fixed, over-the-shoulder and first-person perspectives changing how you face the danger.

Substantial Wii pointer shooting, strongest for series fans.
The Umbrella Chronicles on Wii retells Resident Evil events as a brisk on-rails shooter. Remote pointer aiming and gesture reloads make firing immediate, while hidden targets, weapon choices and upgrades encourage another pass through familiar encounters. Four scenario groups and twenty-two levels give the package more substance than a short experiment, with multiple characters offering fans different views of established events. It is nevertheless a companion to the main series: newcomers may not receive enough context from the rapid retelling, and players expecting free exploration will find their path prescribed. A direct Wii review specifies B-button fire, A-plus-B grenades and shake reloading, and finds the Wii Zapper accessory less comfortable than the ordinary Remote arrangement. Those hardware observations are not conclusions about the PS3 HD version. Fans of pointer shooting and the wider Resident Evil chronology have a substantial arcade detour here.
Strengths
- Levels, upgrades and pointer aiming invite replays.
Weaknesses
- Prescribed routes and awkward Zapper handling.
Who it is for: Series fans who enjoy arcade light-gun play.
Play notes: Wii input findings do not describe PS3 HD.
