About this game

When a zombie virus spreads through Hyosan High, ordinary students must confront infected friends and teachers while seeking a way to survive. All Of Us Are Dead adapts the webcomic into a visual novel that follows contrasting responses to the disaster and the conflicts between its characters. Reading and choices drive the experience, with branching events and multiple endings, including game-original developments. Character illustrations reflect injuries and other changes as the story progresses. Event artwork, animation, and Korean voice performances accompany the text. IKINAGAMES released the PS4 edition in 2024, following the earlier PC version.

An emotionally involving zombie story with restricted choice.

The strongest reason to read All of Us Are Dead is its students: their friendships, fear and grief keep the catastrophe personal. Switching viewpoints sustains that attachment, while persistent injuries and key illustrations give events visual continuity. Choices are much less influential than this intimate setup might suggest. Most early decisions converge or produce immediate death, with meaningful ending branches concentrated near the conclusion. It works better as an ensemble story than as an elaborate consequence simulator. Gentle music turning sinister reinforces the mood, although recurring backgrounds and a small musical selection reveal its scale. Character biographies and scene revisiting help organize the cast; manual saving, offline pausing and separate volume controls make the reading manageable in sessions.

Strengths

  • Engaging relationships and emotional shifts
  • Persistent visual details and key illustrations
  • Convenient saving, pausing and scene revisiting

Weaknesses

  • Limited lasting consequences from early choices
  • Modest background and musical variety

Who it is for: Readers interested in zombie fiction, ensemble relationships and visual novels.

Play notes: Contains violence and the loss of companions. The PS4 listing specifies English, Japanese, Korean and Spanish subtitles, but not Simplified Chinese.
