About this game

Royal agent Alisa is pursuing a thief when she finds herself trapped in a Victorian-style mansion. Its mechanical doll inhabitants threaten her escape, creating a survival-horror adventure built around exploring unfamiliar places and dealing with enemies. Low-polygon characters and pre-rendered backgrounds give the game a visual approach associated with late-1990s horror games. Equipment provides several ways to respond to danger. Available weapons range from a sabre to firearms, while currency, items and outfits contribute to the player's choices. Certain outfits provide different stat effects. The PS4 Developer's Cut edition was released in 2024 and presents this version of the game as a single-player experience.

A striking dollhouse with meaningful resource choices and awkward movement.

Alisa builds an unsettling dollhouse from mechanical creatures, pre-rendered rooms and uncanny music. Exploration matters because ammunition and healing cannot be spent carelessly: enemy-dropped gears can buy supplies, weapons or dresses that change your abilities. Varied puzzles and bosses keep that journey interesting. Ordinary items do not demand constant inventory shuffling, but carrying only two guns still makes preparation worthwhile. Movement is the substantial obstacle. Analog tank controls, turning and fixed cameras can make positioning and combat awkward, and the alternative movement approach is not necessarily comfortable. Rough voice performances also weaken immersion without erasing the world's distinctive appeal. Players willing to adapt to old-fashioned survival horror can find rewarding tension; those prioritizing effortless control should approach cautiously.

Strengths

  • Coherent and unsettling mechanical-doll art
  • Meaningful resource and equipment choices
  • Varied puzzles and bosses

Weaknesses

  • Substantial movement and fixed-camera friction
  • Rough voice performances

Who it is for: Fans of fixed-camera survival horror and retro exploration who can tolerate control adaptation.

Play notes: The completed PS4 account reports analog-control and camera problems without specifying its patch; later improvements are not established.

Varied puzzles and bosses sustain the dollhouse, while unrestricted ordinary inventory avoids busywork and the two-gun limit preserves preparation choices.
