About this game
Aery - Stone Age is a PlayStation 4 simulation game centered on area and route exploration, system learning, and repeated adjustment and feedback. Schedules, changing values, or staged goals encourage repeated adjustment, with progress divided into stages, tasks, matches, or growth milestones that make immediate goals understandable. Its value depends on whether these rules continue to create judgment and room for mastery rather than on length, sales, or series recognition. Short campaigns are judged by repeat-challenge value, while longer ones are judged by variety, pacing, and recovery after failure. Interface clarity and state feedback matter more than spectacle, while HD output, HDR or PS4 Pro modes, HDD streaming, surround audio, and television-distance interfaces need to preserve action, state, and text readability together. The genre-specific limitation is that explanations, dense menus, real-time systems, or accessory dependencies can add friction. Platform conditions also include HDD installs and loading, patch version, storage space, DualShock 4 battery life, PS Camera or PS VR requirements, visual modes, frame rate, and network services affect the current release. This description covers only this platform release and does not import features or conveniences from remasters, emulators, or other console editions.
Collected in series
Aery is a series of gentle flight adventures seen from behind a small bird. You glide through stylized landscapes, look for feathers or memory fragments and gradually open the way onward. Changing settings and stories give each journey its character, while flying and observing remain the main pleasures.

PlayStation 4AI review
AI reviews are subjective assessments, not player ratings. See each review for its evidence and limitations.Published date:
Relaxing flight survives, but loose theming, recycled scenery and repeated searches weaken the journey.
Stone Age lets a flying spirit observe humanity's development and collect memory fragments to open successive areas. The low-pressure objective still has value for a short relaxing session. Its theme and progression are less convincing: prehistoric creatures sit beside familiar fantasy and modern environments, while recycled scenery limits the sense of discovery. Sequential collectibles do not always create a continuous route, so returning across the same area can weaken the reward for advancing. A named PS4 player documents completing the campaign while criticising the PlayStation exposure treatment of the reviewed group. This can satisfy a basic wish to glide and collect, but its content development and thematic cohesion are weak. Players wanting substantial prehistoric observation, changing objectives or carefully guided exploration will find limited returns.
Strengths
- Low-stakes flight can still provide relaxation
- Memory-fragment collection gives clear progression
Weaknesses
- Familiar environments reduce discovery
- The Stone Age theme is inconsistently developed
- Sequential targets can require repeated searches
Who it is for: Players satisfied with lightweight flight and collection rather than deep themes or evolving mechanics.
Play notes: Original PS4 judgment; Xbox launch crashes, later fixes, pop-in and specific dark/bright-level severity are excluded.

| Dimension | Review state | Score | Weight |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dimension Stage quantity does not become sustained fresh content. Reused landscapes, a loose theme and repeated searches give progression too little new discovery, making this a weak dimension. | Reviewed | 4.5 / 10 | Not provided |
| Dimension Low-pressure collection remains workable, but successive targets do not always form a coherent route. Repeated searching weakens reward and places the core near the weak tier. | Reviewed | 5.9 / 10 | Not provided |
| Dimension Aerial observation and varied scenery offer a calming use, but prehistoric, fantasy and modern imagery lack thematic unity. The presentation does not sustain a convincing period atmosphere. | Reviewed | 5.6 / 10 | Not provided |
| Dimension Attributable PS4 completion supports a usable campaign, while native exposure criticism documents display discomfort. The competent grade excludes Xbox crashes, fixes and severity of dark-level rendering. | Reviewed | 6.2 / 10 | Not provided |
