About this game
Abunai Koi no Sousashitsu - Eternal Happiness is a PlayStation Vita adventure game centered on location exploration, character and object interaction, and objective or clue progression. Locations, objectives, and clues gradually open the main chapters, with progress divided into stages, tasks, matches, or growth milestones that make immediate goals understandable. Its value depends on whether these rules continue to create judgment and room for mastery rather than on length, sales, or series recognition. Short campaigns are judged by repeat-challenge value, while longer ones are judged by variety, pacing, and recovery after failure. Theme, character expression, and environmental clues need to support exploration together, while the high-density portable display, stereo audio, touch feedback, and handheld interface need to keep text, targets, and state changes clear at a small scale. The genre-specific limitation is that guidance, objective triggers, camera behavior, or dense text can create search and comprehension costs. Platform conditions also include proprietary memory cards, touch or gyroscope input, battery life, download availability, cross-platform features, and retired online services affect the current release. This description covers only this platform release and does not import features or conveniences from remasters, emulators, or other console editions.

Amusing familiar banter cannot fully rescue a thin and awkward continuation.
Eternal Happiness resumes relationships that have already become romances, so familiarity with the earlier police-team stories matters. The officers' banter, family comedy and expressive voice performances retain their appeal, while interconnected cases and supporting characters provide continuity between routes. Unfortunately, the seven main stories are brief and do not give those established relationships enough meaningful development. Abrupt bonus episodes further reduce the sense of payoff. The Vita presentation also has uneven event illustrations, sparse backgrounds and awkward musical transitions. Reading convenience is a significant weakness: immediate quick loading invites accidental reversals, maximum skip speed remains slow, and the log cannot return directly to an earlier passage. This is better approached as an imperfect reunion for existing character fans than as a satisfying standalone introduction to the series.
Strengths
- Team banter and family comedy preserve the characters' charm.
- Interconnected cases and supporting characters link the routes.
Weaknesses
- Thin romantic development, uneven presentation and awkward reading controls weaken the continuation.
Who it is for: For Japanese readers already attached to the earlier police-team cast.
Play notes: This is the Vita third-season continuation; prior relationships matter. Quick saving exists despite one conflicting account. Unknown patches are not assumed to retain or fix every launch issue.
